Position Overview
The Senior Accounting Specialist role presents a thrilling opportunity to thrive in a vibrant and fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a robust educational background in accounting and relevant experience, complemented by strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of general ledger operations.

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Specialist encompass, but are not limited to:
- Executing general accounting tasks, including participation in period-end closures, data analysis, and daily accounting operations.
- Preparing journal entries by compiling and reviewing source documents.
- Drafting accruals for significant accounts.
- Reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts.
- Conducting financial analysis of balance sheets and income statements.
- Supporting financial year-end closures, audits, and tax preparations.
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP and company standards.
- Adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- Following up on outstanding issues promptly.
- Maintaining exceptional customer service with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Executing ad hoc requests and projects from various partners.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strive for continuous improvement and be self-motivated.
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
- Have at least 1 year of accounting or finance experience, preferably in the retail sector.
- Demonstrate expertise in generally accepted accounting practices; CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exhibit strong collaborative skills across departments.
- Have advanced Excel capabilities, including experience with data analysis, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas.
- Be detail-oriented and capable of producing accurate and timely work.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and inventory modules, preferred but not required.

Compensation
For candidates located in California, Club Monaco provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position, considering various factors such as business needs, skills, experience, and certifications. The estimated salary range is between $70,000 and $85,000 annually.
