NSC Technologies is seeking a qualified Weld Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance processes in the welding department.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in the assembly and erection of steel and aluminum hull vessels, along with certification as a welding instructor (CWI).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure familiarity with the installation of all necessary outfitting components.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting shipyard construction and work package assembly drawings.
  • Apply techniques for the precise alignment of sub-assembly components.
  • Maintain a fundamental understanding of acceptable welding practices and preparations, collaborating with various shifts and departments.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, as well as company policies and regulations.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, including reliable attendance and punctuality, while striving to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively and possess computer literacy.
Additional Duties:
  • Manage work schedules and enforce company policies.
  • Provide training and development for team members.
  • Ensure adequate manpower levels to meet scheduling and budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Department on quality assurance and inspection matters.
  • Coordinate with the Fabrication shop regarding units and parts transitioning into assembly.
  • Review production schedules in detail and work with Planning and Scheduling to uphold delivery timelines.
  • Engage with Maintenance and Facilities on relevant issues.
  • Monitor attendance and implement progressive discipline for attendance or performance concerns.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to complete assignments within specified timeframes.
  • Effectively communicate with various levels of management, crafts, and departments.
