Job Summary

The Lead Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for planning and directing the cleaning, sterilization, and processing of surgical instrument trays and loaner instrumentation for Surgical Services, multiple procedure suites, and outlying patient care areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple demands on time to support Surgical Services staff and facilitate timely flow of Surgery needs
  • Assist with decontamination of supplies and instruments, preparing sets for and completing sterilization of supplies and instruments
  • Order supplies and ensure department meets sterilization standards and is compliant at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements
  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
  • 3 years Sterile Processing experience
