Position Details:

Department: Clinical

Schedule: Per diem; minimum 2 days per week, including one weekend day. Shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; potential holiday rotations.

Impact of the Role: The IVF Nurse Coordinator (RN) is integral to the fertility treatment process, providing essential patient care, education, and emotional support. This role ensures comprehensive coordination throughout the IVF experience, assisting patients in navigating the complexities of their treatment while aiming for optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' medical histories and reproductive health to identify any factors affecting fertility, ensuring accurate data entry in the EMR.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop tailored treatment plans for each patient.
  • Educate patients about the IVF process, including procedures, testing, and medication management, while addressing potential side effects and lifestyle considerations.
  • Provide emotional support and counseling throughout the patient's journey.
  • Guide patients in self-administering medications and adjusting dosages based on their responses, while communicating any concerns to the medical team.
  • Coordinate and schedule surgeries, ART appointments, and diagnostic tests, ensuring all necessary consents are obtained and timelines are adhered to.
  • Monitor pregnancies via ultrasound and lab tests during the initial weeks, documenting findings in the EMR.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and the medical team, relaying important information and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Advocate for patients, ensuring their preferences are considered and assisting them in making informed decisions about their care.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, documenting all aspects of the IVF treatment process.
  • Discuss treatment results with patients, exploring alternative options if necessary.
  • Perform intrauterine inseminations as directed.
  • Ensure all communicable disease testing is complete and accurate.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current State Registered Nurse (RN) license without limitations.
  • Active BCLS certification.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of RN experience and 2+ years in women's health, fertility, or OB/GYN.

Working Environment: This position operates in a professional office and clinical setting, requiring the use of standard office equipment and the ability to communicate effectively with others. Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks.

Compensation: The salary range reflects the national average for this position, with variations based on location, experience, and skills. The total compensation package may include bonuses and flexible work arrangements.
