Job Overview

Position Objective: Execute maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of machining equipment, including Haas, Maka, Mori Seiki, Brothers, and Hydromat, along with other associated production machinery. Perform general maintenance and repair duties within the facility.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: High School diploma along with 2-3 years of relevant experience. Expertise in hydraulics and pneumatics is essential.
  • Knowledge Base: Understanding of machine programming is beneficial.
  • Skills & Competencies: Strong mechanical skills and welding proficiency. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out repairs and maintenance on machining equipment and production machinery. Reassemble machinery post-repair or maintenance.
  2. Inspect and evaluate damaged machine components, identifying defective areas or reporting repair needs to management. Lubricate machinery and equipment following established procedures.
  3. Dismantle machinery and extract parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
  4. Interpret work orders and specifications to pinpoint machines and equipment that require maintenance or repair.
  5. Set up, operate, and fine-tune machines, including adjusting controls to ensure optimal performance. Clean machines and components using solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other tools.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues to repair or relocate machines, parts, or equipment.
  7. Manage inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and supplies to sustain stock levels. Document production, repair, and maintenance activities.
  8. Transport machine parts, tools, and equipment between work areas and storage using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
  9. Dispose of worn machine parts and other waste to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.

  • Hi-lo Operator Training

Authority Level: None

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity necessary for handling tools and controls.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with frequent bending or twisting.
  • Exposure to contaminants and working in confined or awkward spaces.
  • Tolerance for noise, minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings.
  • Working with hazardous conditions and equipment.

Compensation: $21.00 to $27.00 per hour
