Job Overview

Cox Enterprises is seeking a skilled Senior Software Test Engineer to enhance our software quality assurance team. In this position, the Senior Software Test Engineer will engage in testing operations within an Agile environment, focusing on UKG Pro Workforce Management and HCM applications throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a robust functional background and a solid understanding of Kronos WFC/UKG Pro WFM applications. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including analysts, customers, and developers, to comprehend functional requirements and business workflows.
  • Proactively contribute to design evaluations by sharing expertise and identifying potential risks.
  • Determine and prioritize critical test cases.
  • Work alongside the Quality Engineering team to establish manual and automated testing strategies and assist in developing automation test scripts.
Execution:
  • Deliver results by performing quality assurance testing within an Agile team.
  • Participate in formulating and executing test strategies, plans, and scripts.
  • Carry out various testing types, including unit, functional, system, stress/load, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
  • Provide precise metrics and updates on testing progress.
  • Certify readiness for User Acceptance Testing.
  • Facilitate functional, regression, and UAT testing with business users for all new features in the UKG Pro WFM application.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Assist in the ongoing enhancement of our QA processes by gathering feedback and implementing necessary changes.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and techniques to ensure software/platform quality.
  • Embrace a growth mindset while exploring innovative technologies and methodologies.
  • Formalize testing procedures.
  • Enhance efficiency in both manual and automated testing capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4 years of experience in a related area. Alternative combinations may include a master's degree with 2+ years of experience, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience, or 16 years of experience in a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in manual testing within UKG Pro WFM/Kronos WFC, particularly in Timekeeping, Attestation, Scheduling, Accruals, and Attendance.
  • Proficient in writing test plans and test cases.
  • Experience in API and Integration testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing automation scripts, preferably with TOSCA for test automation.
  • Familiarity with testing Dell Boomi integrations.
  • Experience in testing Kronos Mobile applications.
  • Support for testing activities on a UKG Pro WFM migration project.
  • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Tricentis, qTest, Zephyr, HP ALM, Jira).
  • Experience collaborating with offshore QA teams.
  • Active participation in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
