Hospice Nursing Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement patient care plans that prioritize quality of life, symptom management, and functional capacity.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including spiritual and psychosocial support.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and end-of-life care.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their loved ones during a challenging time.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maine or a compact state.
  • Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
