Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN to join our team as a Patient Advocate. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Resolution of Patient Concerns: You will work closely with patients and their families to resolve complaints and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Document Patient Concerns: You will document all patient concerns, including demographic data, synopsis of the incident, actions taken to resolve, and outcome.
  • Communicate Effectively: You will compose letters to patients and visitors, ensuring grammatical accuracy and clarity.
  • Coordinate Resolution of Patient Concerns: You will work with managers to review and resolve patient concerns in a timely manner.
  • Provide Patient Support: You will assist patients in understanding the process of their care and provide guidance on how to navigate our healthcare system.
  • Identify and Address Patient Service Issues: You will identify problems and issues related to patient service and provide feedback to managers on how to improve patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: You will participate in committees, work groups, and process improvement teams to enhance patient satisfaction and quality of care.
  • Provide Guidance on Service Recovery: You will provide guidance to staff on how to recover from service failures and enhance the patient experience.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an accredited professional nursing program.
  • Licensure: Current Minnesota Registered Nurse license required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Process Improvement experience preferred. Patient relations/customer service experience preferred.
