Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Prior experience in an operating room setting is advantageous

The practice of nursing encompasses, but is not limited to:

  • Conducting a thorough assessment of a patient's health status through the collection and analysis of data to establish a baseline and care plan, while addressing any changes in the patient's condition.
  • Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to formulate and coordinate a comprehensive care plan.
  • Designing nursing interventions that are integrated into the overall care strategy.
  • Executing nursing care through independent actions and delegated tasks as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers.

  • Advocating for the individual needs of patients.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of interventions and the overall care plan.
  • Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to manage and implement care across various settings.
  • Facilitating health promotion, disease prevention, and care coordination.
  • Creating and executing educational plans tailored to patient needs and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • Contributing to the development of healthcare policies and procedures.
  • Accountable for the quality of care provided, recognizing personal limits of knowledge and experience, and addressing situations beyond the nurse's competency.
  • Overseeing and evaluating nursing practices.
  • Maintaining organizational and nursing competencies relevant to the area of practice.
  • Managing information in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Exhibiting effective communication skills.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
