Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Resolution of Patient Concerns

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the resolution of patient complaints, grievances, and requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • Document Patient Concerns

They will document patient concerns, including demographic data, synopsis of the incident, actions taken to resolve, and outcome, and input this information into our tracking database.

  • Compose Letters to Patients

The successful candidate will compose letters to patients, ensuring grammatical accuracy and clarity.

  • Coordinate Review and Resolution of Patient Concerns

They will coordinate the review and resolution of patient concerns with our management team.

  • Provide Assistance to Patients

Our RN - Patient Advocate will provide assistance to patients to help them understand the process of their care.

  • Record and Compile Patient Feedback

They will record and compile written and verbal patient comments, concerns, or complaints, and relay this information to our staff or management team.

  • Identify Areas for Improvement

The successful candidate will identify problems and issues related to patient service and provide feedback to our management team, recommending ways to improve patient services.

  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives

They will participate in committees, work groups, and/or process improvement teams that aim to improve patient/customer satisfaction.

  • Provide Guidance in Service Recovery

Our RN - Patient Advocate will provide guidance in service recovery to enhance the patient experience.

  • Additional Responsibilities

Additional job responsibilities may include assisting with chart reviews and core quality measure data abstraction, tracking and trending of patient inputs to assist in identification of areas of improvement, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Completion of an Accredited Professional Nursing Program

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited professional nursing program is required.

  • Current Minnesota Registered Nurse License

A current Minnesota Registered Nurse license is required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

  • Process Improvement Experience

Process improvement experience is preferred.

  • Patient Relations/ Customer Service Experience

Patient relations/customer service experience is preferred.

  • Outstanding Communication Skills

Outstanding communication skills are required.

  • Self-Motivated and Self-Directed

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and self-directed but also work well with others.
