KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Cafe Manager to lead a team of approximately 10-15 retail staff, including Shift Leads and Baristas.
- Implement and participate in our culture management processes, focusing on individual support and supervision.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct regular check-ins with team members to promote ongoing mentorship and feedback.
- Ensure effective communication across the cafe and with other departments.
- Act as a leader within the cafe and represent Kaizen Lab Inc. in the community.
- Conduct performance reviews that provide constructive feedback and growth opportunities for baristas.
- Ensure that customers receive exceptional coffee service that meets our quality standards.
- Work with training staff to maintain high standards and effective training programs.
- Support staff in delivering excellent customer service and uphold our operational standards.
- Manage cafe operations, including inventory and financial processes, to ensure profitability.
- Set achievable goals aligned with the overall objectives of the cafe and the company.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for both employees and customers.
- Contribute to the overall culture and growth of the business through participation in improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of experience in food service.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
- Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
- A genuine passion for coffee.
- Proficiency in using technology and tools such as Google Drive and spreadsheets.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
