Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Upkeep & Repair:


Perform maintenance and repairs (both scheduled and unscheduled) on production, processing, and packaging machinery, along with utility systems, while strictly following safety regulations.


Preventive Maintenance:
Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance to evaluate equipment reliability and enhance operational efficiency.

Technical Evaluation:
Analyze and interpret technical documentation, electrical diagrams, service manuals, and work orders to execute necessary maintenance and servicing tasks.

Installation of New Equipment:
Assist in the setup and commissioning of newly acquired machinery.

Troubleshooting & Support:
Provide training and troubleshooting assistance to operators to minimize equipment downtime.

Work Order Processing:
Efficiently complete work orders while upholding high-quality standards.

Tool Usage:
Employ a range of hand and power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment to perform job functions effectively.

Interdepartmental Communication:
Maintain effective communication with various departments, management, and staff to resolve any issues affecting production efficiency.

Record Keeping:


Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities, ensuring that all records are clear, legible, and comply with standard operating procedures.


Continuous Development:
Stay informed about new products, machinery, technologies, and methods, contributing to initiatives aimed at process improvement.

Parts Management:
Anticipate parts needs, adhere to proper purchasing protocols, and proactively acquire parts to ensure readiness for tasks.

Safety Standards:
Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel, complying with state and federal health and safety regulations.

Compliance with GMP & Regulations:
Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and operate in alignment with corporate, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as required, adapting to the changing demands of the role.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Graduation from a trade or technical school in areas such as electrical, PLC/HMI programming, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc., is preferred.

2-4 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, HVAC, or related fields, ideally within a manufacturing context.

Familiarity with various equipment including lubrication, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging machinery.

Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is advantageous.
