Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Sharon Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum potential and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess patients' physical and cognitive abilities to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement effective therapy programs to improve patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments to maintain expertise and provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Graduate from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Current License in the State of Connecticut.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Knowledge of physical medicine, physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Knowledge of physical and occupational therapy machine operation, maintenance, and repairs of same.
