Position: Retail Key Holder

Reports to: Store Manager

As a Retail Key Holder, you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to empower store team members in achieving sales targets through effective coaching, fostering a team-oriented selling atmosphere, and ensuring operational excellence during your shifts as the acting manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Work alongside the Store management team to guide store personnel in meeting sales, service, and operational goals while acting as the manager on duty.
  • Exemplify company values and lead by example through active coaching.
  • Effectively communicate priorities and sales-driving information to equip store staff for optimal performance.
  • Assist in the recruitment of store personnel and promote diversity by fostering an inclusive work environment.

Performance:

  • Support the management team in executing store business plans, including sales, customer service, and operational objectives.
  • Utilize store reports to inform decisions that drive business success.
  • Engage in business outreach initiatives and relay leads to the Store Manager.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and collaborate with the management team on development plans.

Operational Excellence:

  • Partner with the management team to ensure adequate staffing for effective execution of initiatives and operational tasks that fulfill customer commitments.
  • Assist in training store staff on all internal operational functions as needed.
  • Stay updated on corporate communications, directives, initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the management team in implementing store programs aimed at enhancing sales, service, operations, and branding.

  • Encourage a culture of learning and development, ensuring training resources are utilized effectively.
  • Act as a role model for all store team members, providing enthusiastic and motivational leadership.
  • Collaborate with the management team to conduct regular store meetings, keeping all team members informed of company directives.

Customer Experience:

  • Assist in training the store team on customer service standards to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve high satisfaction scores.
  • Utilize customer feedback to address and resolve concerns proactively.
  • Work with the management team to ensure the store's visual presentation aligns with brand standards and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Retail or Sales.
  • A creative individual with sound judgment and an awareness of business dynamics.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and a strategic thinker.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record in training and developing high-performing store teams.
  • Proficient in technology systems, applications, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing tools.
  • Ability to operate a computer and POS system effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for the majority of work shifts, frequently bend, squat, twist, lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders to access merchandise or supplies, and distinguish between fabric patterns and colors.

Key Holder Pay Range: $19.00-$24.00
