The Chief Executive Officer will operate from the organization's main office while overseeing initiatives aimed at alleviating hunger and homelessness across the designated service area.

A pivotal aspect of our mission is fostering volunteerism and community collaboration.

We are looking for an individual who can effectively unite individuals, families, businesses, educational institutions, and faith-based organizations to bring hope and dignity to those in need.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chief Executive Officer is a full-time role appointed by the Board of Directors and is supported by a diverse and experienced team.

The ideal candidate will be an active and engaged member of the community, dedicated to implementing the organization's social mission. The CEO will be responsible for the management and execution of all programs and services, including staff recruitment, training, and volunteer engagement.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the mission and vision are executed effectively and collaboratively with community partners while identifying growth opportunities.
  • Oversee financial management, including fundraising, budgeting, and financial reporting, while delegating responsibilities to the finance team.
  • Collaborate with staff to maintain program integrity and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor progress towards achieving the organization's mission and objectives in partnership with the Board of Directors.
  • Represent the organization in community settings, fostering strong relationships and supporting development initiatives.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including staff, clients, donors, and volunteers, to enhance community impact.
  • Meet regularly with the Board to discuss organizational developments and strategic direction.
  • Identify emerging service needs and assess them for alignment with the organization's mission and sustainability.
  • Demonstrate responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
  • Manage and develop staff, ensuring a high-performance culture.
  • Engage with local government to advocate for policies that support the mission.
  • Communicate the organization's mission and activities through various public channels.
  • Maintain a strong organizational identity and uphold its values.
  • Establish strategic goals and operational plans in collaboration with the Board and staff.
  • Implement approved strategic initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of organizational properties within budget constraints.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Board.
  • Oversee general management functions to ensure operational success.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active and engaged member of the community, knowledgeable about social service principles.
  • Master's degree in management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in managing a multi-service organization.
  • Experience in securing and managing grants for ongoing support.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with other organizations in a respectful manner.
  • Approachable personality, dedicated to building constructive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Resilience and commitment to the organization's mission.

COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to interpret and utilize financial reports.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
