As a Patient Care Liaison (PCL), you will play a crucial role within the healthcare delivery team, emphasizing the execution of high-quality administrative responsibilities in close partnership with our clinical teams. While prior experience in a medical office is advantageous, a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a sincere commitment to patient care are paramount. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while consistently providing exceptional patient service with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and prioritize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) messages to ensure timely responses in line with DMC Policies & Procedures.
  • Communicate test results to patients, including laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic outcomes.
  • Assist patients in obtaining necessary referrals and prescription refills as clinically warranted.
  • Input imaging and laboratory orders under the guidance of a licensed medical provider, adhering to established DMC protocols.
  • Facilitate the scheduling of appointments at DMC and with external specialists and facilities.
  • Engage with patients through various communication platforms, respecting their preferences.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions using professional communication standards.
  • Actively pursue proficiency in the Allscripts EMR system, clinic workflow, and documentation practices.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Embody DMC's Core Values, Mission, and Vision in all interactions.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of experience in an administrative or clinical role within a medical office is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
