Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at The CSI Companies. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all instruments and equipment used in the operating room and clinics are properly sterilized and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process instruments, supplies, and equipment from the operating room, departments, and clinics efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform and record daily quality checks and tests on the sterile processing environment, instrumentation, and equipment using electronic systems or paper records.
  • Clean and decontaminate instruments, scopes, and equipment, adhering to proper PPE protocols, through manual, ultrasonic, and automated methods following manufacturer's instructions.
  • Perform sterilization and high-level disinfection using steam autoclaves, low-temperature sterilizers, and liquid chemical methods.
  • Maintain work areas following AAMI standards and manufacturer guidelines to handle and process instruments and equipment, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Assist with the orientation and training of new employees in sterile processing procedures and departmental operations.

Requirements:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing/pulling) lift 24lbs to max of 50lbs on a regular basis.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate, read, write, speak and understand fluent English.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Large corporation experience.
  • Health plan / managed care / healthcare industry experience.
  • Ability to float between Everett clinic and Edmonds clinic.
  • Sterile Processing Certification (HSPA).
  • One year of experience in an acute care setting with knowledge of cataracts and Steris 1E liquid processing.
