Job Summary:

JobRialto is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility in our department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Decontaminate surgical instruments according to manufacturer's instructions or advised by the department supervisor or manager.
  • Operate decontamination equipment and inspect instruments after decontamination to ensure all items are clean, intact, functional, and accounted for.
  • Assemble trays in a manner that ensures device sterility and presents a tray that is easy for the end user to access for use.
  • Use count sheets to ensure trays are assembled accurately for all trays.
  • Interface with department tracking system for all functions of processing.
  • Packages or containerizes instruments sets according to manufacturer's guidelines and standards.
  • Loads sterilizer carts in a way to ensure packaged items are not punctured or compromised.
  • Runs daily sterilizer tests on all sterilizers and operates sterilizers according to manufacturer's instruction.
  • Documents all load contents, interfaces load to tracking system, loads cycle confirming correct parameters, monitors sterilizer to tracking system, and records all pertinent sterilizers ensuring items are not compromised and stores in correct location according to tracking system storage for cleanliness of department and all processing equipment.

Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent Required.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: CRCST, CBSPDT, CIS preferred.
  • 2 years' work experience in CSPD preferred.
