Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Logistics Manager to join our team at BayWa-r.e. Power Solutions, Inc. This is a full-time onsite position with a salary range of $80,000 to $120,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional logistics management and delivery services on-site.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager and Project Manager(s) to schedule and coordinate material deliveries.
  • Create inventory reconciliation reports and manage document reconciliation.
  • Track logistic shipments and provide status reports.
  • Collaborate with project Superintendents to ensure appropriate staffing for daily material management activities.
  • Ensure site prep work is complete to support logistics and material deliveries.
  • Direct and guide material handling craft to ensure activities on site are understood and following established processes.
  • Communicate with material vendors and subcontractors daily to ensure scheduled deliveries are on track.
  • Identify potential schedule changes, workflow, and staffing issues due to weather and delivery delays.
  • Maintain material delivery schedules and identify upcoming issues.
  • Solve any logistics and delivery problems or on-site issues that may arise.
  • Work directly with Port authorities and trucking companies to find solutions when required.
  • Responsible for scheduling maintenance of on-site equipment and machinery.
  • Review all logistics invoices for accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related programs.
  • 6+ years of logistics management experience in construction, renewable energy industry preferred.
  • Intimate knowledge of construction activities, production rates, equipment selection, building types, and construction methods.
  • Ability to prepare complex procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated organization and analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and analyze problems and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in an organized and accurate manner.

Physical Demands:

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Sit at a desk 6-8 hours per day performing tasks on a computer.
  • Requires minimal physical effort with periods of walking, standing with some light lifting of files.
  • Minimal bending, stooping, or reaching.

Working Conditions:

  • Requiring normal safety precautions with minimal occupational health and safety risks.
  • Moderate to low noise levels.
  • Requires considerable concentration.
  • Stresses induced by changing environment, diversity in the organization, strict deadlines, and high volume of workload.
