Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Childwatch Leader to join our team at the Channel Islands YMCA. As a Childwatch Leader, you will be responsible for providing a safe and engaging environment for children aged 6 months to 10 years, while also supporting their physical, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist in planning, supervising, and implementing Childwatch programs in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Child Supervision: Provide quality care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Environment Setup and Maintenance: Set up and clean up of the program area, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, and trash removal.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and foster connections with children and families.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent; valid work permit required if a minor.
  • Experience: Previous work experience in a related role is preferred.
  • Certifications: Complete required certifications within 30 days of hire.
  • Training: Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire.
  • Criminal Record Clearance: Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance, if over 18 years old.
