Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and respectful transportation for residents to various events and activities while delivering high-quality service.
- Assist residents with mobility challenges in entering and exiting vehicles.
- Secure wheelchairs using appropriate restraining devices to ensure passenger safety during transit.
- Effectively use communication devices to stay in contact with the main office or other transport units to report any service interruptions.
- Maintain community vehicles in optimal working condition.
- Regularly clean and service vehicles, including refueling and adding necessary lubricants.
- Support the vehicle registration and license renewal processes.
- Conduct monthly inspections and document vehicle conditions after each trip.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A current commercial driver's license (CDL) may be necessary, along with a satisfactory driving record as per Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
- Experience in a customer service role, ideally within a senior living environment, is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to safety measures is essential.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
