About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team at Sony Interactive Entertainment. This role will provide technical support for our motion capture stages, ensuring high availability and performance of specialized services in a creative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as technical lead for the Motion Capture Stages, including associated servers, workstations, and tools.
  • Act as primary liaison with the Creative Arts Motion Capture team to align IT services with business requirements.
  • Regularly assess technical infrastructure needs and provide recommendations to enhance performance and stability.
  • Work with and administer storage systems for the stage environment, including data availability and security.
  • Handle and tune monitoring tools to ensure availability of critical hosts and services.
  • Serve as main contact point for all technical stage issues.
  • Document system configuration, workflow, network diagrams.
  • Available to work varying hours, shoot day schedules, on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Requirements
  • Proficiency with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages and automation (Python).
  • Proficiency with previsualization and production tools (Motion Builder, Maya).
  • Proficiency with digital asset management and version control (Perforce).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, license servers, and virtual machines (SQL, VMware).
  • Familiarity with game engine tools (Unreal).
  • Proven background in automated Linux deployment diagnosing.
  • Specific on-set stage experience for virtualized production.
  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience in a similar role.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated base pay range for this role is $97,800 - $146,600 USD per year. In addition, this role is eligible for SIE's top-tier benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program, and coveted employee discounts for Sony products. This role also may be eligible for a bonus package.
