Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the healthcare team at East Ohio LLC. This position requires a skilled and compassionate individual to assist with daily healthcare operations and patient care management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients to the exam room and prepare them for examinations, obtaining and recording pre-examination testing, including height, weight, BMI, and vital signs.
  • Perform delegated clinical tasks, such as vital signs, urine collection, blood collection, injections, electrocardiograms, and routine dressing changes.
  • Assist the healthcare team with specific treatments and procedures.
  • Administer and document specified injections as directed by facility policies.
  • Document all clinical care provided in the facility's EMR in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Provide follow-up communications with the healthcare team and patients.
  • Perform minor housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and sanitary office and clinic environment.
Requirements:
  • A graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, preferred, or a minimum of one year of professional office, customer service, or patient care experience.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, proper judgment, and appropriate employee/patient relations.
  • Must be highly motivated and willing to assume additional jobs and duties as needed.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database products.
  • Ability to read, write, and explain information to patients and/or family members.
  • Ability to provide customer service in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
  • Must be able to function independently.
