Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our team at Vaco. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including footnotes, in compliance with GAAP.
  • Oversee the preparation of recurring operational accounting tasks, including fixed assets, leases/subleases, raw materials, internally developed software, and capitalization of cloud computing costs.
  • Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations and SOX.
  • Enforce accounting policies and procedures to maintain accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance team.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, such as ASC 606 and ASC 842, and assess their impact on our financial statements.
  • Provide application guidance for complex and technical transactions and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Perform financial fluctuation analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks and identify potential errors.
  • Assist in ad hoc financial projects and analyses as required by the Controller and Assistant Controller.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with technical accounting issues.
  • Experience in a high-growth E-commerce or tech company is a plus.
  • Public Company experience or exposure to post or newly IPO companies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred.
  • SAP S4 Hana experience preferred.
  • Experience with Blackline preferred.
  • Experience with Workiva preferred.
  • Generally, requires a minimum eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 (3) years in a managerial role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • CPA license is required.
