Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bariatric Clinical Reviewer to join our team at Mercy Medical Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data submitted to the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) database.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of professional nursing practice
  • Monitor regulatory and compliance initiatives, and recommend corrective actions to management
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement activities
  • Manage the accreditation process and ensure continuous compliance with MBSAQIP and Joint Commission requirements
  • Work closely with the Department of Surgery to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement
Requirements
  • Current MA Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an NLN accredited school required
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible data management experience
  • Knowledge of continuous quality improvement tools and techniques
  • Knowledge and experience in Bariatric surgical patient care preferred
