Job Summary

The ECMO Specialist plays a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive patient care services centered on extracorporeal therapies.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care services.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless delivery of ECMO therapies.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in ECMO technologies and best practices.
  • Provide education and training to colleagues and patients as needed.
Requirements
  • Completion of University Health's ECMO training program or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of ECMO experience preferred.
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
Licenses and Certifications

The ECMO Specialist must obtain BLS, PALS, ACLS, and University Hospital ECMO certifications within 6 months of hire.
