Care Specialist

The ECMO Specialist plays a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive patient care services centered on extracorporeal therapies. This position requires a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care services.
Responsibilities- Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive patient care services centered on extracorporeal therapies.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education and training to patients and families.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to extracorporeal therapies.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (PICU, NICU, CICU, EC).
- Completion of University Health or another ELSO-based ECMO training program preferred.
- Must obtain BLS, PALS, ACLS, and ECMO certification within 6 months of hire.
