Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to oversee our front office operations. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our guests receive unparalleled service and satisfaction. This position involves managing the front desk team and upholding the high standards set by Valencia Hotel Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise front office personnel to maintain exceptional service standards.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering a memorable experience.
- Facilitate training programs for front office staff to foster a safe and efficient working environment.
- Maintain open availability for morning, evening, and holiday shifts, primarily focusing on evening hours.
- Foster a positive team atmosphere within the department.
- Prepare for and respond to all guest requests promptly.
- Engage in continuous training and development initiatives.
- Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe hotel operations.
- Maintain consistent attendance as per scheduling requirements.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Oversee the integrity of cost controls and asset maintenance.
- Assist in supervising front office operations and personnel performance.
- Collaborate with the Front Office Manager to monitor quality and revenue.
- Ensure cleanliness and quality standards are upheld throughout the environment.
- Address guest issues with effective problem-solving skills.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Provide information and assistance to guests as needed.
- Update and maintain information in the hotel management system.
- Perform cashier duties and handle cash transactions.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to meet guest needs.
- Stay informed about local attractions and services to assist guests.
- Document guest requests and deficiencies accurately.
- Respond to emergencies calmly and in accordance with hotel policies.
- Experience in hotel operations or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Effective multitasking capabilities.
- Composure under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred background in hospitality.
- Food Handler's Certification and TABC Certification are advantageous.
