Job Title: Monitor Technician

Job Summary:
Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Monitor Technician to join our team. As a Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiogram (EKG) interpretations, analyzing and recording atrial and ventricular rates and rhythms. You will also be responsible for measuring EKG waveforms, troubleshooting and maintaining equipment and supplies, and participating in unit quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret EKG rhythms and record atrial and ventricular rates and rhythms.
  • Measure EKG waveforms and troubleshoot equipment and supplies.
  • Notify nurse immediately of loss of clear telemetry signal and arrange for coverage when leaving monitor room.
  • Recognize, record and inform nurse of abnormalities/changes in patient waveforms.
  • Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
  • High School or GED.
  • Prior telemetry monitoring experience/EKG monitoring in a hospital setting REQUIRED.

Location: Inova Center for Personalized Health
Shift: Night
Hours: 7:00PM to 7:00AM with Weekends
