Job Summary

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist/Exercise Physiologist is a professional clinician who specializes in guiding patients through education, risk factor reduction, and exercise in Phases I, II, and Preventive Maintenance.

Responsibilities include assuming responsibility and accountability for patients during clinic sessions and performing other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
  • Current BLS, ACLS certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
  • 1 year previous experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation preferred
  • EKG/rhythm interpretation training required
  • Proficient in telemetry interpretation skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Physical and emotional stamina
  • Highly personable and outgoing
  • Ability to speak to large and small groups comfortably
  • Competent in computerized documentation
  • Knowledge in cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology, exercise physiology preferred
  • Critical thinking and assessment skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Ability to multitask and work as a team player
