Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Project Specialist to join our team at Boeing Future of Flight. This role focuses on the execution of critical engineering projects related to mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in engineering, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals across various disciplines.
  • Develop comprehensive statements of work (SOW) to address ongoing and future business needs.
  • Engage with stakeholders to secure necessary approvals and manage any changes to the SOW, assessing impacts on deliverables, resources, and timelines.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with established performance metrics.
  • Plan and coordinate resources throughout the project lifecycle, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze project performance against baseline plans to derive insights and lessons learned.

Specific Duties:
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of relevant military standards and master plans.
  • Support program management in maintaining the health of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Lead the development and implementation of project roadmaps.
  • Conduct data analysis from various sources to inform maintenance strategies and inspection criteria.
  • Facilitate working groups and conferences to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Prepare and present annual execution reports.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation, aerospace, or defense sectors.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proven project engineering experience with a focus on sustainment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and effective presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Experience with Department of Defense weapon system sustaining programs.
