Senior Legal Counsel

About the Role
Luxfer Holdings PLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to lead our in-house legal team. As the leader of a small and collaborative legal team, you will liaise directly with Business Unit Leaders, as well as Finance, Operations, Health & Safety, HR, and other internal and external groups, to mitigate risk, drive compliance, promote commercial excellence, and uphold high standards of corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide sound, pragmatic, and timely legal advice to the Board of Directors, Executive Leadership Team, and senior management on a wide range of legal matters affecting the Company.
- Oversee and provide in-house legal support on the Company's merger, acquisition, and divestment transactions.
- Negotiate, draft, administer, advise on, and interpret a broad variety of material and strategic contracts.
- Support and provide guidance on corporate governance matters, including drafting and implementing corporate policies and procedures and preparing regulatory reports required under U.S. and U.K. law.
- Monitor and oversee the Company's compliance with all applicable laws, including the compliance of business operations in four countries.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Current bar registration in good standing
- Minimum of 5-10 years of post-admission experience in an in-house legal department or relevant practice group
- Familiarity with U.K. law an advantage, and a willingness to learn is essential
- Previous M&A experience and strong contract and report drafting abilities required
