The Certified Therapy Support Specialist will work under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services. The Occupational Therapy Department plays a crucial role in our rehabilitation services, offering customized therapy programs designed to assist patients in regaining independence and enhancing their quality of life. Our team is well-regarded for its commitment to patient care and ongoing professional development.

In this capacity, you will support occupational therapists in executing therapy plans and programs tailored for patients, with a focus on enhancing their daily living skills and functional capabilities. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities, as well as monitoring patient progress and accurately documenting changes and outcomes. Collaboration with the occupational therapy team and other healthcare professionals will be vital in developing and adjusting therapy plans according to patient needs. Additionally, you will educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercises to aid in their ongoing recovery.

Qualified candidates for the Certified Therapy Support Specialist position will possess a valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. A minimum of an Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Previous experience in a clinical environment, particularly in rehabilitation or acute care, is highly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
