Kitchen Operations Manager - Competitive Pay


Role Overview
This position plays a pivotal role in collaborating with the Operations Director to achieve excellence in Back of House (BOH) operations. The Kitchen Operations Manager is essential in ensuring the success of the Ghost Kitchen in several key areas:

  • Effective management of financial resources, including food costs, labor expenses, and maintenance.
  • Oversight of staffing and operational efficiency in the kitchen.
  • Leadership and development of the Back of House team.
  • Adherence to the established vision and service model across all operational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a restaurant culture that emphasizes growth and hospitality, encouraging team members and leaders to embody product knowledge, stewardship, enthusiasm, and generosity. This culture should be integrated into training, ongoing development, and daily operations.
  • Ensure that stewardship practices are consistently implemented throughout the kitchen.
  • Establish a benchmark for kitchen excellence by creating, leading, and implementing innovative systems that set the standard for high-performance teams within the organization.
  • Develop strategies aimed at enhancing staff performance, food quality, and service speed.
  • Manage and approve all scheduling and shift adjustments for BOH team members, ensuring adequate coverage for absences.
  • Implement maintenance, repair, and cleaning systems that align with company standards and expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Director during the recruitment process, including resume evaluations, interviews, and reference checks as needed.
  • Address disciplinary actions for team members who do not meet company standards, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Guide Team Leaders in enforcing disciplinary measures for violations of company standards and the Team Member Handbook.
  • Promote a sales growth mindset and inspire creativity and innovation throughout the kitchen operations.
  • Ensure that all team members consistently adhere to established processes and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven leadership experience in food service operations.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • This is a full-time role requiring strong time management skills.
  • Must be self-directed and highly organized.
