Position Overview

We are currently seeking an Audit and Risk Management Consultant to act as the key liaison for Audit Risk Management initiatives, including Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Federal Managers Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA), and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a consultant, you will:

  • Oversee the audit response strategies for the organization, managing the associated risks and visibility related to audits and inquiries from oversight bodies.
  • Collaborate with audit teams and assist in tracking, reporting, coordinating, and gathering information for all relevant audits.
  • Support the completion of the operating unit's risk profile for management review and follow up on the resolution of identified risks.
  • Facilitate the FMFIA process, ensuring that each operating unit assesses its internal controls to provide leadership with insights into weaknesses or deficiencies.
  • Manage all FOIA requests for the organization.
  • Lead and coordinate various tasks including project tracking, data analysis, documentation, and administrative support.
  • Provide expert advice and articulate recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in audit and risk management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading audit responses within the US Federal Government.
  • Experience working internationally, particularly in the Asia region, is preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of US Federal Government audit and risk management practices.
  • Ability to implement risk management programs and evaluate compliance with applicable laws and standards.
  • Interpersonal skills that foster relationships across various stakeholders.
  • An active Secret security clearance is required.
