Key Responsibilities:- Assembly and Operation: Assemble medical devices and related components, which may include electronic assembly, casting/coating functions, mechanical assembly, and packaging.
- Equipment Handling: Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering equipment, and adhesive bonding tools, to perform assembly tasks.
- Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies. Perform tests on units using computerized test equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of travelers, shop floor paperwork, and quality documents to ensure traceability of all parts and address any quality issues effectively.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices and equipment during operations. Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes.
- Communication and Collaboration: Notify supervisors of the need to replenish supplies/materials and report any production difficulties. Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to set and monitor individual goals and performance metrics.
- Work Environment Maintenance: Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment throughout the facility.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly role.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures in English at a 6th-grade level.
- Math Skills: Basic math skills at a 6th-grade level.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills in English.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
- Physical Skills: Strong dexterity for handling and maneuvering small components and parts.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and sequencing. Capable of making critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
