Key Responsibilities
  • General cleaning and replenishing of restrooms, including guest and associate areas.
  • Conducting regular spot-checks to ensure a clean and neat appearance.
  • Refreshing paper goods and emptying trash receptacles as needed.
  • Maintaining galleries, ballrooms, lobbies, and suites to ensure cleanliness and spotlessness.
  • Removing unnecessary items and discarding them in the garbage dumpster.
  • Vacuuming and spot-cleaning ballrooms daily to maintain clean carpeting, walls, and doors.
  • General sweeping before and after events.
  • Breaking down tables when not in use or during events.
  • Spot-cleaning chairs as needed.
  • Mopping dance floors before and after each use, and wiping down edges to maintain a neat appearance.
  • Cleaning and organizing storerooms at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Returning tools and equipment to their proper place after use.
  • Cleaning up spills and leaks in restrooms and throughout the facility.
  • Traveling to different properties or venues as necessary.
  • Performing all reasonable requests from the management team.
  • Attending and participating in scheduled meetings and training sessions.
  • FOLLOWING proper time-keeping policies and procedures.
  • FOLLOWING the sign-in and sign-out procedure for keys.
  • KNOWING and FOLLOWING all Pier Sixty emergency and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in cleaning hotel and/or restaurant restrooms preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning high-volume facilities within specified time schedules.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation or other equivalent combinations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of quality.
  • Ability to work with chemicals for sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Ability to remain organized and focused at all times.
  • Team-oriented with ability to work on large events with many individuals.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods with limited breaks.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, requiring diplomacy, patience, and tact.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with associates, management, clients, and vendors.
  • Able to work flexible schedules to accommodate business levels.
