The DC Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Library/Tech Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our library and technical support staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school's library and technical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to students, teachers, and staff on library and technical systems, including computers, printers, and other equipment.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of library and technical systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Develop and implement procedures for the efficient operation of library and technical systems.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate technology into the curriculum and improve student learning outcomes.
- Provide training and support to students and staff on the use of library and technical systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field.
- Three or more years of experience in library and technical support, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Working Conditions:
This is a safety-sensitive position, and all safety-sensitive positions are subject to mandatory pre-employment drug testing in accordance with the Child and Youth, Safety and Health Omnibus Act of 2004.
