Position Overview:
This recruitment aims to fill a full-time position within the Public Defender's Office, which may be appointed at either the Legal Secretary I or Legal Secretary II level, contingent upon qualifications. The selected candidate will join a dedicated team, providing essential support to attorneys. The ideal applicant will possess relevant administrative and clerical experience in a legal context, demonstrating empathy and patience when interacting with clients and legal professionals. A strong service-oriented approach and excellent time-management skills are crucial for effectively managing diverse tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative, secretarial, and clerical support to attorneys.
- Perform legal processing tasks and manage routine procedures in specific legal areas.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
- Maintain organized records and files.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations.

Qualifications:
For Legal Secretary I:
- One year of relevant legal clerical or secretarial experience.
- Completion of the twelfth grade with specialized legal clerical training.

For Legal Secretary II:
- Three years of significant, progressive legal secretarial experience.
- Completion of the twelfth grade with specialized legal clerical training; college-level legal administrative coursework is preferred.

Additional Information:
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred to better serve clients.
- Candidates must maintain any required licenses or certifications throughout their employment.
