Overview:

The Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the daily functions of a diverse engineering team, which includes specialists in electronic, mechanical, firmware, and software design. This individual will guide the team to meet essential performance indicators while collaborating closely with other department leaders to ensure alignment with the strategic goals of the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute departmental objectives and protocols in conjunction with the VP of Engineering
  • Oversee the product development lifecycle from initial design through to production
  • Stay informed about technological standards and emerging industry trends
  • Offer technical direction and support to the engineering team

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and oversee engineering personnel
  • Promote core values and encourage teamwork within the group
  • Conduct regular performance assessments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, or Software Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 years in Project Management
  • Recent hands-on experience in embedded systems design
  • Familiarity with communications applications and protocols
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience in technical product development

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Over 5 years of experience managing teams focused on embedded controls and IoT solutions
  • Proficient with collaboration tools and software development methodologies
  • Strong grasp of computer architecture and embedded software
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities
  • Results-driven with a strong emphasis on software architecture and design principles
