Adjunct Faculty Member

As an Adjunct Faculty Member in Nursing, you will be responsible for teaching students effectively in assigned classes and maintaining office hours for student consultation.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Provide high-quality instruction and assessment to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate and complete course records.
• Participate in the evaluation of the instructional process and use innovative strategies to continually improve learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and visions.
• Utilize technology to facilitate learning and to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others.
• Meet professional assignments in accordance with the System's calendar and contractual obligations.
• Comply with Districts board policy, state and federal policy, and the student code of conduct as appropriate.
• Participate in campus commencement exercise(s) as required and attend other required college meetings and activities.
• Participate in his/her own performance appraisal.
• May work with student clubs and/or organizations.
• Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills to support and enhance effective interaction between Districts and other organizations, businesses and community groups as well as faculty, staff and students.
• Promotes the college in the community by participating in a variety of marketing activities.
• Participates in professional development activities.
• Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Master's Degree in Nursing with three years of work-related experience and must have an unencumbered Texas RN license.
• Official transcripts will be required at time of interview.
• ***Will be subject to a criminal background check. Some positions may be subject to a fingerprint check.***
• Bilingual or multi-language skills preferred.
