Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Store Retail Operations Director to lead our retail operations and drive business results. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve sales growth, improve profitability, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Petco is a leading specialty retailer of pet food, supplies, and services. We have over 29,000 associates and operate more than 1,500 stores across the US, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing team of store leaders and associates to achieve business objectives.
  • Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth, including merchandise selection, visual merchandising, and in-store promotions.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that every customer has an exceptional shopping experience by providing personalized service, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment.
  • Operations: Manage all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, receiving and stocking, and cash handling procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of retail management experience with a proven track record of driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and other retail technology platforms.
Benefits
