SCADA Systems Developer

AdientOne Consulting is seeking a highly skilled SCADA Systems Developer to join our team. As a SCADA Systems Developer, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting SCADA (Ignition) and MES (Sepasoft) applications for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and configure SCADA/MES systems, including tag database generation, report development, and computer setup and configuration.
  • Conduct SCADA/MES operator training and provide on-hand production support to ensure system uptime.
  • Collaborate with internal and external personnel to design, develop, and implement integration enhancements with PLCs, JDE, and other systems.
  • Analyze system performance and suggest or make improvements where applicable.
  • Oversee the protection of SCADA/MES environments and ensure data security and integrity by establishing operational guidelines, including privacy, security, editing, validating, and restart/recovery controls.
  • Develop and modify SCADA/MES systems, including assistance in the deployment of technology other than SCADA/MES.

Requirements:

  • Development and support experience with Ignition and Sepasoft.
  • At least 35 years of experience as a SCADA or MES engineer or developer.
  • Working knowledge of Rockwell PLCs or Siemens PLCs, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols.
  • Experience with Python, Java, Jython, C, C++, Visual Basic, SQL, etc.
  • Proficient with Windows Servers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Utilizing integrations (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, APIs, Web Services) and producing/consuming data from various systems.
  • Understanding of OEE concepts and ability to apply them to an MES platform.
  • Working knowledge of Track and Trace technologies and ability to apply them to an MES platform.
  • Understanding of ERP systems as it pertains to work orders, routings, etc.
  • Understanding of Production scheduling.
  • Managing code repositories (e.g., GitHub).
