Center Directors play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of both children and educators. They foster a culture of teamwork and community, enabling everyone to flourish.

Key Responsibilities for Center Directors:

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
  • Identifies, schedules, and interviews potential teaching candidates; cultivates networks for future talent.
  • Conducts classroom assessments, evaluations, and provides constructive feedback to inspire learning.
  • Oversees the team to ensure the curriculum is delivered in accordance with brand standards.
  • Utilizes a growth mindset to mentor, coach, and prepare staff for future challenges.
  • Actively listens to employee concerns and formulates a recommended course of action.
  • Develops and communicates weekly staff schedules.
  • Manages daily classroom ratios effectively.
  • Handles new hire documentation and maintains employee records in compliance with state regulations.
  • Creates and communicates center schedules to maintain appropriate ratios and manage labor within budget.
CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT
  • Conducts tours for prospective families, emphasizing key differentiators in our curriculum and the quality of our educators.
  • Maintains regular communication with families regarding their child's progress.
  • Implements engaging activities for parents.
  • Facilitates our Show and Tell events.
  • Regularly reviews and maintains all records for students and educators.
  • Ensures the physical environment meets health and safety standards in compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Manages relationships with state licensing officials and conducts center evaluations.
  • Responsible for reporting accidents and incidents.
  • Oversees medication management.
  • Conducts monthly safety drills.
  • Manages new customer documentation in compliance with state regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Two or more years of leadership experience in a childcare setting; required: at least one year of management experience.
  • Must possess professional teaching experience with infants to preschool-aged children.
  • NYS Certified Teacher with a BA or MA in Early Childhood Education (MA preferred).
  • Strong understanding of state licensing regulations.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification is highly preferred.
  • Must fulfill all state-specific requirements for the role.
Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 annually

At TLE, we have developed a cast of characters that become our young learners' mentors, partners, and friends throughout their preschool education journey. Each character possesses a unique personality and area of interest, bringing learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through creativity and imagination.

This franchise operates independently and is managed by a franchisee. Applications will be directed to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the franchise management.
