Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1+ years of pharmacy experience and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and verify medication orders from healthcare providers, ensuring appropriateness of drug selection, dosage, frequency, and administration route.
  • Assess patient allergies, medical histories, potential drug interactions, and laboratory results to prevent adverse clinical outcomes prior to medication dispensing.
  • Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure the availability of necessary medications.
  • Provide drug information and guidance to fellow healthcare professionals to support informed decision-making.
  • Supervise pharmacy students and technicians, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and accuracy in medication dispensing.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care and facilitate discharge planning.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution (Required)
    • Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience in a hospital environment or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • Active Pharmacist License in the relevant state (Required)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
