Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Verification: Assess and confirm medication orders for suitability and safety.
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patient medical history and identify potential drug interactions to mitigate risks.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and maintain medication stock with accuracy.
- Professional Guidance: Offer drug-related information and mentor pharmacy students and technicians.
- Collaborative Healthcare: Work alongside the healthcare team to enhance patient care and facilitate discharge planning.
Desired Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited institution is required; PharmD is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of hospital experience or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical environment is preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- PA Pharmacist License is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is preferred.
Work Schedule:
