Job Summary:

As a key member of the Utility Plant Maintenance department, the successful candidate will assist in managing the team to accomplish plant projects and preventative/corrective maintenance. This role requires evaluating and improving the safety of the plant, participating in the plant safety committee, and implementing new safety programs. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe work environment and direct maintenance, overhauls, and projects for all power plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities with the Plant Maintenance manager, Plant Operations Manager, and other operational groups to ensure operational and production needs are met.
  • Assist in directing maintenance, overhauls, and projects for all power plant equipment.
  • Evaluate and improve the safety of the plant, participating in the plant safety committee, and implementing new safety programs.
  • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or engineering/Power Plant Technology or related area.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in power plant engineering, maintenance, operations, or management.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance resources in a plant production environment.
  • Meet goals and deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national electric and power piping codes.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
