Program Support Assistant

As a Program Support Volunteer with the College Success Foundation, you will play a vital role in enhancing the academic success of students by supporting staff and assisting during events.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CSF staff to set up and clean up events, check-in guests, serve food, and answer basic questions.
- Support event coordination and completion of event-related tasks.
- Coordinate college planning activities with other CSF staff, school staff, and college access providers.
- Assist in assessing student needs for special assistance, such as tutors, to enhance academic success.
- Partner with CSF staff to complete student applications, including resumes, scholarships, essays, and college applications.
- Attend events and perform other light duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Commitment to collaborative work with CSF staff, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and people skills.
- Ability to complete required training, including Abuse Training and COVID training.
- Volunteers must comply with CSF's COVID policy and self-screen before attending events.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the communities served by the high school and recent involvement with students in those communities.
- Experience in fields related to mentoring, leadership development, youth development, education, teaching, or counseling.
- Experience working with diverse populations and age groups.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this role include frequent lifting or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Volunteers may need to stand or walk for prolonged periods and operate a computer or other office machinery.
Work Environment
Work is generally conducted in a school environment or event space with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues. Volunteers must be flexible and able to interact with students and employees at all levels.
