We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Vets Pets. As a key member of our emergency animal care team, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch medical attention to pets in need.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about animal welfare and possess strong communication skills. You will work closely with our veterinary team to provide compassionate care, administer treatments, and maintain accurate patient records.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the veterinary team in delivering emergency care to patients, including restraint, vital sign collection, and comfort measures.
- Preparing and organizing equipment, supplies, and medications for procedures and treatments.
- Maintaining a clean and organized emergency treatment area, ensuring proper cleaning and disinfection protocols are followed.
- Supporting diagnostic procedures, such as radiography and laboratory tests, under the guidance of the veterinary team.
- Aiding in the administration of treatments, medications, and intravenous fluids as directed.
- Accurately documenting patient information, treatments, and observations in medical records.
- Providing exceptional customer service to pet owners, answering inquiries, relaying messages, and updating on patient care as needed.
Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on industry standards for similar roles in the veterinary sector.
