We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Care Specialist to join our team in Florida. The Retina Group of Florida is a renowned ophthalmology practice specializing in retina diseases. Our practice is committed to providing first-class patient care and a rewarding work environment.

Job SummaryThe Ophthalmic Care Specialist is a fundamental part of our office team, supporting our physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining and documenting comprehensive medical and ophthalmic history, performing diagnostic imaging, and assisting with office-based procedures.
Responsibilities- Medical History and Documentation: Obtain comprehensive medical and ophthalmic history utilizing our ophthalmic-based Electronic Medical Records system.
- Preliminary Examinations: Conduct preliminary examination screenings, including visual acuity, papillary assessment, confrontation visual field, tonometry, and other essential tests.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform diagnostic imaging using advanced technology, including OCT.
- Office-Based Procedures: Assist with office-based procedures, including intraocular injections, laser photocoagulation, and pneumatic retinopexy.
- EMR System: Develop competency with our advanced EMR system, digital imaging system, and electronic-based prescription program.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: COA or COT certification preferred but not required.
- Skills: Excellent computer, written, and verbal communication skills, with problem-solving ability and a professional demeanor.
- Experience: Applicants with experience should be proficient in patient triage and work-up, including tonometry and assisting physicians with minor office procedures.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately $$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
